Dunboyne College of Further Education has experienced tremendous growth from 40 students in 2003 to over 1200 students in 2023, with continuous expansion each year. The college offers an inclusive and welcoming learning environment that acknowledges and values all individuals' unique identities and experiences, providing necessary support and resources for students to succeed and thrive.

The Learning Hub ensures a safe and accessible physical environment for over 300 registered students with disabilities, learning difficulties, and ongoing health conditions to receive Academic support, IT skills support, Assistive technology, Exam accommodations, access to Guidance, the Sensory Room, the Sensory Pod and Ulreeka, the DCFE Community Dog.

We wouldn't have Ulreeka without the help of the amazing breeders, raisers and trainers at Irish Guide Dogs and we thought it was time to give something back.

OUR MISSION

Ulreeka's Wagathon is a fundraising walk in aid of Irish Guide Dogs.We will work closely with Irish Guide dogs to ensure every cent raised goes directly to this amazing cause. Our mission is to support the training and development of guide dogs to enhance the independence and mobility of people who are blind or vision impaired.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind (IGDB) is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to enabling people who are vision impaired and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence. 

For over 40 years they have worked with our community of Breeders, Puppy Raisers, Home Socialisers, Temporary Boarders, Trainers, Staff, Volunteers and supporters to change as many lives as possible.
